Blue Star's Murphy is a gorgeous Parti Black and White Australian Labradoodle. He has an incredibly soft curly fleece coat. He is 40 pounds and was 1 year old on September 25th, 2009. He is the sweetest, most fun, loving fella. He looks regal as he plays in the yard evaluating what exciting thing he's going to do next. He loves playing with all the other doggies. He is very agile, incredibly smart, and is a joy to watch. And, his coat is so soft it's hard to stop petting him.
Murphy's Daddy is Cloudcatcher Keith from a new line out of Australia and his Mommy is our very own Parti-On Khaleena. Khaleena has the most calm, gentle personality, and her puppies all have that wonderful soft fleece coat.
Murphy is an extraordinarly loving, sweet boy and has that incredible soft curly fleece coat and the gentle personality the Australian Labradoodle is prized for. He loves all people, other animals, and is great with children. This off-the-charts smart, strong, agile boy also has that more blocky lab look that is sought after. Murphy is just a LOVE MUFFIN! He is crate trained, doggie door trained, sleeps thru the night, and loves to give kisses and snuggles.
Murphy passed his preliminary OFA Report (Orthopedic Foundation for Aminals) with a score of EXCELLENT on Hip Joint Conformation. This is outstanding and a hard score to get! This score indicates that he has "superior hip joint conformation as compared with other dogs of the same breed and age". He was also negative on both elbows for dysplasia. We couldn't be more delighted! This gorgeous boy is expected to sire exceptional puppies!
I am delighted to share that Murphy is living in a wonderful Guardian Home. William, Leah, Ethen, Zackery, and Grace are loving and caring for him while he fills their lives with joy.

ZION belongs to Darice Conrad and comes from her Puppy Love kennel. His given name is Earth
Angle's Zion of Puppy Love. He is is a gorgeous Black and White Parti and is an all around
wonderful fellow. He is incredibly intuitive, able to read people and other dogs very well and
adapts to every situation with ease. He has a very pleasant, easy going way about him that endears
him to all who meet him. He inherited his tendency to "smile" from his mother making everyone
believe that he understands everything we are saying to him. He has a beautiful low maintenance
wonderfully soft fleece coat and has been passing this wonderful trait on to his litters. He is very
athletic and loves to run and play but is also very comfortable calmly sitting with his family on the
couch. We just can't say enough good things about this boy. Zion carries for all colors and
is 40 lbs and 19" at the shoulder.
We are so thankful to Darice for making Zion available to our sweet Parti-On-Khaleena.

The Grandview JazzMan (Manny) of Daisy Hill Labradoodles has a cute, fun personality and is sweet and cuddly. He has a fantastic disposition and is a beautiful boy with a strong non-shedding soft fleece coat. He is incredibly agile and has a beautiful gait. He loves everyone he meets, and thinks everyone came to visit just him. He is VERY gentle, doesn't have a mean bone in his body and would be a great therapy dog. He sleeps on my bed every night and adores tummy rubs. He is a gorgeous Cream/Chalk/Apricot and is 30 pounds. His Father is Tegan Park Phoenix and his Mother is Tegan Park Maddy's All that Jazz.
We are so thankful to Christy Westover, Daisy Hill Labradoodles, for all her help to provide The JazzMan for our Rosie.

Khaleena is a Large Medium/Small Standard Black and White Parti Labradoodle. She has a magnificent coat and a temperment to match. She is so gentle and mellow, and always happy and eager to be hugged and petted.
Khaleena is a regal lady and her profile when she stands or sits is as if she were a queen. She is not only a great Mother but she also loves to run and play with the other pups. She weighs approximately 47 pounds and is 20 inches tall. She has exceptional Health Scores with Excellent Hips/Elbows and is the most wonderful Mother. She plays with and loves her puppies until they go to their new forever homes. Khaleena is now retired and is so excited about being with her new loving family in Coeur d'Alene, ID.
Her last litter of 9 Parti puppies were the most exceptional litter!!! I am retaining two of her puppies to carry on Khaleena's incredible gentle personality! |

MINIATURES
Little Daisy is a gorgeous Miniature Multi-Generation Australian Labradoodle. She is an Apricot/Cream and is just shy of 15 pounds. She comes from a long line of the finest pedigrees of Australian Labradoodles from Tegan Park and Rutlands in Australia. Both her parents were miniatures. Her mother is also an Apricot/Cream and her father is a rare Silver Phantom. Daisy quite possibly carries for all colors as she has Cream, Apricot, Red, Brown, Black, Mocha, Silver, and Phantom colors in her pedigree.
Testing was completed for OFA for both Hips and Elbows and results from a complete blood workup and urinalysis should be back this week. The hip/elbow x-rays looked great and we are looking forward to hearing from OFA in two to three weeks.
I am very particular about my doggies and when I decided I wanted a miniature I looked a long time before making a decision. When I purchased my little Daisy when she was just 8 weeks old. She was bought with the intention of breeding her in the future but most important was her personality/temperament and her health. I am a member of The Australian Labradoodle Club of America and there are strict standards that must be adhered to for breeding. And, there is no way of knowing ahead of time if the puppy will pass all the strict testing required to be selected as a Dam or Sire.
Most breeders start breeding their females at 1-1/2 years of age. However, I feel it's wiser to wait until they are 2 years old. My Daisy is coming up on 2 years old in July, 2010, so I proceeded with all the tests to insure her health and the health of her puppies. Some of these tests were a complete blood work up and urinalysis, tests to determine that the dog is parasite free, CERF Certification for the eyes to insure there is no glacoma, PRA blood test that must be sent away to Vet Gen to determine that the dog is clear of a problem called Progressive Retanal Atrophy (PRA) which is early blindness in dogs, and a test that requires x-rays that must be sent to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals to determine propensity for Hip and Elbow Dysplasia.
Of course there are many other things that are required when choosing to use a dog as a breeding male or female. They must have the right conformation that is characteristic of the Australian Labradoodle and this covers specific characteristics from the head to the tail. Even before all of these traits and tests insuring health and great bone structure and conformation, I want a Dam or Sire that has the most wonderful, sweet, gentle personality.
So, as you can see, I am particular. Not only are my dogs a loved part of my family but I also want to ensure, as best as possible, that their puppies will be healthy and have a long life of providing love, laughter, joy and companionship for their new forever families.
Now, about my Daisy. What a doll! When Daisy was about 8 months old I got a call from an elderly lady that wanted one of my puppies but I had already sold all the puppies from that litter. The more I got acquainted with Phyllis through numerous phone conversations and a couple of visits, it seemed obvious to me that it would be very difficult for her to manage a little puppy. On one of my visits I took little Daisy with me and Phyllis totally fell in love with her and Daisy jumped up in her lap like she'd been her owner from the beginning. Wow! So, what I offered Phyllis was the opportunity to be Daisy's Guardian Family and she would not pay anything for her. She would be her Guardian with the understanding that I would be doing all the health tests on Daisy before she was 2 and if she passed them all I'd be breeding her to another miniature. She would have Daisy but I would take care of all the responsibility for Vet care, grooming, etc. Phyllis couldn't be more pleased with the arrangement. So, Daisy has been with Phyllis since she was 9 months old.
Back to Daisy testing. Daisy passed all the tests with flying colors except one. She did not get a high enough Hip score for me. The scores range starting with Excellent (which is hard to get these days), then Good, Fair, Borderline, Mild Hip Dysplasia, Moderate Hip Dysplsia, and Severe Hip Dysplasis. The score of FAIR is acceptable for most breeders. Daisy scored a Fair on her hip score. However, to meet my standards she needed a Good or Excellent score.
So, I'm sorry to share that our little Daisy will not be bred this Summer. She has been spayed, Phyllis purchased her at the puppy price of $2,500, and Phyllis and Daisy couldn't love each other more. I was sick about the Fair score as I already had people wanting her puppies and I had incurred almost $10,000 in expenses. When Dams are carrying puppies it puts extra stress on the hips and with each litter more stress. So, for Daisy's future hip health and the goal to have the healthiest long lived puppies, I had to make a very hard decision. I just visited Phyllis and Daisy as it's hard for Phyllis to get out so I am taking little Daisy in for grooming. They are both so happy that it makes it a wonderful ending (new beginning) to my long story.
I will be considering another Miniature (around 15 pounds) in the future but for now my Rosie is expected to whelp large miniatures/small mediums at 25-30 lbs.

RIVERMIST ROSIE OF BLUE STAR IS EXCEPTIONAL!!!
Rosie was added to our group of ladies a year and a half ago to be my sweet companion and will be bred in Feb/March 2010 so it will be a while before we will be blessed with Rosie puppies. Rosie is an exceptional Australian Multi-Generation Labradoodle and was born 3/12/08.
Rosie's Mother is Rutlands Redd Elu who is a stunning red color and Redd Elu's mother is Rutlands Clementine. Rosie's father is Primetimes Quincy who is a cream and Qunicy's Mother is Rutlands Shu Shu. Both her parents are from Rivermist Labradoodles in Oregon and have excellent health scores. Rosie has already been CERF Certified and is PRA Clear. OFA Pen Hip and Elbow Certification GOOD.
I picked Rosie because of her superior pedigree from Australia's Tegan Park and Rutlands, her size now as an adult is appx. 25 pounds, her sweet, loving temperment/personality and her color. She has an exceptionally soft curly fleece coat. It's as soft as bunny fur...maybe softer and that's no exageration! She is a gorgeous apricot/red color, is extrememly smart and is one of the most loveable, and loving, sweet dogs you'll ever meet. She has the most joyful happy personality and her puppies will be a blessed addition to any family. Rosie's puppies will make some incredibly lucky families very happy.
Rosie sleeps with us in our Master Bedroom, is fully trained, of course, and we're excited about future litters with Rosie as we believe her puppies, including some reds, will also have the exceptional traits we expect of all Blue Star puppies.
After much research and consideration, we chose an incredible stud, The Grandview JazzMan from Daisy Hill Labradoodles. Rosie's next litter will be with our stunning stud, Oregon's Waldo at Primetime. They are the best of companions and will be a wonderful combination for future puppies. Waldo is such a love muffin and has that incredibly soft silky/wavy Apricot fleece coat and strong Australian conformation. I expect their future puppies to be apricots, creams and possibly reds.
