Allergy Free Dogs

The first Labradoodle was bred with the intention of creating a dog that was as non-allergenic as possible and this breed has become one of the most popular choices for not only those animal lovers with allergies but families in general.  (See '"History of Labradoodles")

A long history of breeding for hypo-allergenic traits means that the Multi-Generation Labradoodles' coat is as neutral and non-irritating as you can get and they don't shed like other breeds, i.e. Labs, Pugs, German Shepards, etc.  Like humans, when we brush our hair we do lose some hair and some people have more hair in their brush than others.  Australian Labradoodles also will lose some hair but do not shed like most other breeds.

This is great news for people who are allergic to dogs and have always wanted one.  The Multi-Generation Australian Labradoodles have been successfully living with allergic owners for many years now.   Your Australian Labradoodle will require grooming, of course, and you will need to brush and comb your dog's coat to keep it healthy and mat free.  Also, most people are not aware that the Multi-Generation Australian Labradoodles also have NO, or little body odor, and their coats seem to have self-cleaning properties.  They have a natural lanolin on their coats that repels water.

At Blue Star we only sell Multi-Generation Australian Labradoodle puppies because the Multi-Generation are the most likely to be allergy-friendly and as non-shedding as possible.  They also have the most reliable temperament, coats, and health.  It’s important when you are doing research for your Labradoodle puppy that you understand the difference between Multi-Generation Australian puppies and puppies that are the product of a first or second cross between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle. First or second cross Labradoodle puppies may not exhibit the non-shedding, non-allergenic qualities like a multi-generation pup (See Types of Labradoodles).

Benefits of the Labradoodle

The Muti-Generation Australian Labradoodle is one of the smartest breeds available because it is the result of the union of two of the world's smartest dogs: the Poodle and the Labrador Retriever with infusion of the Irish Water Spaniel, Curly Coated Retriever, and English & American Cocker to get just the right combination of traits.  As such, potential owners who are concerned about dog training can rest easy.  Multi-Generation Australian Labradoodles are exceptionally easy to train, in addition to being loving and friendly.

Owning a Multi-Generation Australian Labradoodle is a sheer pleasure.  If you are looking for a best friend, a wonderful companion, desire a puppy who is great with kids and the elderly and has a great disposition, if you are older and have a harder time getting around, if you are an empty nester and haven’t had a dog or kids for a while, or if this will be your first time owning a dog, the Multi-Generation Australian Labradoodle is an excellent choice!  They are extraordinary dogs that are eager to please and provide unconditional love.  These dogs have been used for years therapy dogs, and are some of the most loving dogs you'll find.
