Allergy Free Dogs

The first Labradoodle was bred with the intention of creating a non-allergenic dog and this breed has become one of the most popular choices for not only those animal lovers with allergies but families in general.  (See '"History of Labradoodles")

A long history of breeding for hypo-allergenic traits means that the Multi -Generation Labradoodles' coat is as neutral and non-irritating as you can get and they don't shed.  This means that your home will be free of airborne dog hair and your couches and rugs will stay clean.

This is great news for people who are allergic to dogs but have always wanted one. Labradoodles have been successfully living with allergic owners for years now.  Your Labradoodle will require some grooming, of course, but you will not be burdened with loose and shedding hair everywhere.

Non-Shedding Dog Breeds

There are many appealing characteristics of the Labradoodle but one of the most appealing qualities about Multi-Generation Labradoodles is that they do not shed and are allergy-friendly. This means that even those family members who are allergic to most other dogs will be able to live comfortably with a multi-generation Labradoodle.  This is a great relief for many dog lovers who have been too allergic to have dogs of their own.  They can now have wonderfully friendly, smart companions who will not make them sneeze or make their eyes itch and water.  With a Multi-Generation Labradoodle, your furniture and carpets will be free of dog hair.  Most people are not aware that the Multi-Generation Labradoodles also have no, or quite low odor, and their coats seem to have self-cleaning properties.

At Blue Star we only sell Multi-Generation Labradoodle puppies because the Multi-Generation Labradoodles are the most likely to be allergy-friendly and non-shedding.  They also have the most reliable temperament, coats, and health.  It’s important when you are doing research for your Labradoodle puppy that you understand the difference between MultiGgeneration puppies and puppies that are the product of a first or second cross between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle. First or second cross Labradoodle puppies may not exhibit the non-shedding, non-allergenic qualities boasted by a multi-generation pup (See Types of Labradoodles).

Benefits of the Labradoodle

The Labradoodle is one of the smartest breeds available because it is the result of the union of two of the world's smartest dogs: the Poodle and the Labrador Retriever.  As such, potential owners who are concerned about dog training can rest easy.  Labradoodles are exceptionally easy to train, in addition to being loving and friendly.

Owning a Labradoodle is a sheer pleasure.  If you are looking for a best friend, a wonderful companion, desire a puppy who is great with kids and has a great disposition, if you are older and have a harder time getting around, if you are an empty nester and haven’t had a dog or kids for a while, or if this will be your first time owning a dog, the Labradoodle is an excellent choice as they are extraordinary dogs that are eager to please and provide unconditional love.  These dogs have been used for years as guide dogs and therapy dogs, and are some of the most loving dogs you'll find.
