Meet Patches, the last sweet girl and available puppy from Zoe and Frankie’s litter!

 

Patches is full of happy energy and has a great mix of playfulness and calm. She loves to cuddle up for nap time after she’s had fun exploring and running around outside or playing with her doggie friends.

Patches is going on 17 weeks old and has completed all of her puppy vaccinations, so she’s ready to take on the world. She does a beautiful job on leash and enjoys going for walks. Right now, she’s in her playful “catch me if you can” puppy stage when off leash—she is still a puppy and loves to play, so sometimes she’d rather keep running around outside. Showing her love and attention is the key to winning her over, without letting her win the game. This approach is helping her learn good listening skills and understand she can trust when it’s time to be obedient.

She’s already learned basic commands, including sit, down, roll over, and shake. At bedtime, she knows exactly where to go and happily kennels up for the night, sleeping soundly until around 7 a.m. Patches is also doing well with potty training, though like all puppies her age, she still needs regular breaks to stay on track.

​

Patches can be a little timid at first and takes a few minutes to warm up to new situations, but she’s making wonderful progress. She’s currently getting one-on-one time and training with a family member, where she’s joining in on all sorts of new experiences and building her confidence day by day.

​

She’s been on lots of fun socialization trips, including car rides to the pet store, visits to breweries, an adventure to the Green Bluff in Colbert, car wash outings, walks at the park and night market, playdates with other dogs, and even a few pup cups from the coffee shop drive-through.

​

Patches is expected to weigh around 20 pounds as an adult. She passed her structure and temperament evaluation with flying colors, along with a clean bill of health from her vet.

​

She’s a smart, loving, well-rounded puppy who’s ready to meet her forever family and start her next adventure.
