Who is Blue Star Labradoodles?
Hello! My name is Katie Kuiper and in June of 2025 I became the new owner of Blue Star Labradoodles which began in 2005.
How It All Started
Blue Star Labradoodles began in 2005 with Carol A. Stover and her girl Abby, a Labradoodle. Carol had her first litter of puppies with Abby and fell in love with them so she decided to do more research on the Labradoodle breed. This led to her discovery of the Australian Labradoodle (ALD), that began in 1989. The ALD was bred for its hypoallergenic characteristics, intelligence and temperament. That led to Carol purchasing her first two Australian Labradoodles. The rest is history! She has now spent the last 20 years doing what she loves best... breeding, raising, training and enjoying exceptional Australian Labradoodle puppies.
Our Story
I became a part of the Blue Star "Puppy Helper Crew" in 2018. My mother, Carol's "Professional Puppy Photographer," invited me to help take pictures of Carol's 8-week-old puppies. The next day I was working full time for Carol and ever since I have been involved in all the aspects of breeding, pairing of sires and dams, whelping, raising, and training these incredible puppies.
In 2024, Carol decided it was time to make the hard choice of slowing down and getting some much-deserved rest away from the big responsibilities that come with raising these precious puppies. She will now be transitioning to my consultant, and we are both so excited that the Blue Star Legacy of "Bringing Joy to Families One Puppy at a Time" will continue!
I feel very blessed to have this opportunity of building on all the hard work Carol has put in to providing families with Australian Labradoodle Puppies that have exceptional health, temperaments, and personalities!
