Who is Blue Star Labradoodles?
Hello! My name is Katie Kuiper, and in June of 2025, I became the new owner of Blue Star Labradoodles, which began in 2005.
How It All Started
Blue Star Labradoodles began with Carol A. Stover and her first Labradoodle, Abby. After Carol welcomed her first litter of puppies with Abby, she immediately fell in love with the process. She decided to do more research on the Labradoodle breed, which introduced her to the Australian Labradoodle (ALD), developed in 1989. Bred for their hypoallergenic qualities, intelligence, and exceptional temperament, the ALD captured her heart. Carol soon purchased her first two Australian Labradoodles—and the rest is history! For the last 20 years, she dedicated herself to doing what she loves most: breeding, raising, training, and enjoying these remarkable puppies.
Our Story
I became a part of the Blue Star "Puppy Helper Crew" in 2018. My mother, Carol’s “Professional Puppy Photographer”, invited me to help take pictures of Carol's 8-week-old puppies. The very next day, I was working full-time for Carol, and ever since, I’ve been involved in every aspect of the breeding process: pairing sires and dams, whelping, raising, and training these incredible puppies.
In 2024, Carol made the heartfelt decision to slow down and take some much-deserved rest from the big responsibilities that come with raising these precious puppies. She will now be transitioning into a consultant role, and we are both so excited that the Blue Star legacy of “Bringing Joy to Families One Puppy at a Time” will continue!
I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to build on all the hard work Carol has poured into providing families with Australian Labradoodle puppies that have exceptional health, temperaments, and personalities!
