Shayla and Chewie’s little girls are now 9 weeks old, and grow more endearing with every passing day. Just one look at these sweet faces is enough to melt your heart and bring an instant smile — it’s just about impossible not to tell them how cute they are every few minutes.

They’re sleeping through the night in their own individual crates and have quickly picked up on their potty routine running from their crates through the bathroom, down the hall, the laundry room, and all the way out to the courtyard. It’s quite the journey for such tiny legs, but as soon as we make it outside, all seven little bottoms hit the ground to go potty.

They’ve done very well with their basic command training, though they’re such people-lovers that they often prefer cuddles over treats—so getting them to slow down and focus can take an extra moment. Over the past few weeks, they’ve enjoyed several car rides and lots of new experiences, including visiting a coffee shop, playing in a friend’s yard, exploring a new home, and meeting new furry friends such as cats and other dogs.

Last week they had their vet check, exam, and first round of vaccines, and were all found to be in excellent health. They also passed their structure and temperament evaluations with flying colors—every one of these girls scored high!

Because their scores were so impressive all across in health, temperament, and structure, I’ve chosen to keep White Ribbon girl as a future breeding prospect. Once she’s old enough and passes all of her health testing, she’ll become a part of our program. I’m excited to watch her grow and develop, as she’s already showing all the qualities we look for in an exceptional breeding candidate.

Our biggest girl, Green, is expected to reach about 25–30 lbs, while her sisters will likely grow to be between 15–20 lbs full-grown. Each one has clearly inherited Shayla and Chewie’s gentle, affectionate nature. Even at this playful, bouncy stage, it’s easy to see that these girls are sweethearts through and through who adore people and love attention.

Since all of the puppies are girls—and each one is so sweet and special—the families on our list have had a wonderfully difficult time choosing. However, final decisions will be firming up this upcoming week.
